An area of scattered thunderstorms continued overnight across much of the deserts from areas near I-40 toward the Arizona border southwestward into the Coachella and Imperial Valleys. These storms are expected to slowly dissipate later this morning but a few wet thunderstorms may reach the desert side of the San Jacinto Mountains and the Cleveland N.F. in San Diego County. There will be a lull in convection during the early afternoon hours, but isolated thunderstorms may develop toward evening across these same areas as well as the Angeles N.F. eastward in the San Bernardino Mountains. Despite the monsoonal moisture over Southern California, the central part of the state remains quite dry. Minimum RH readings will likely drop into the teens again this afternoon across interior valleys of the central coast region and the Sierra Foothills. High temperatures through Friday will remain slightly above normal with readings in the lower 90s in the valleys to around 100 in the San Joaquin Valley. Northwest winds of 15-25 mph will be possible along the central coast Thursday afternoon due to an
