More Heat Coming to the Inland Valleys in So Cal

***Turning very warm again this weekend***

Cooler onshore flow will continue today courtesy of a weak trough over the Pacific Northwest.  Readings this afternoon will range from the 70s at the coast to the lower 90s in the valleys to around 100 in the San Joaquin Valley.  Isolated thunderstorms will still be possible across the highest elevations of the Sierras eastward into sections of the Inyo National Forest and Death Valley N.P.  The areas with lowest afternoon RH (outside the desert) will again be the central coast interior and the southern Sierras where minimum RH may fall into the teens.  Very similar weather is expected Thursday.  Friday into the weekend, high pressure will become reestablished over the Southwest.  This will lead to much warmer temperatures.  Although highs will not be as hot as last week, temperatures will still be close to 100 in the valleys.  Monsoonal moisture will begin to return to the region over the weekend with numerous wet thunderstorms possible over the desert and adjacent areas of the San Bernardino and Cleveland N.F.’s as well as the Kern County Mountains by Sunday.  The monsoonal moisture will likely reach the Sierras by Sunday or Monday.  Most of the storms will east of the central coast and Santa Barbara County.  Slightly cooler weather may return by the middle of next week
