Isolated thunderstorms Wednesday through Friday becoming scattered this weekend***

Temperatures will continue to gradually warm through Friday as high pressure over the Southwest expands westward into California. Maximum temperatures will be in the 80s to low 90s across the mountains and 90s to 102 in the valleys today. Minimum humidity will be mainly in the single digits and teens away from the coastal areas through Tuesday. Southeast flow around the area of high pressure will bring isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms to the Sierra and the mountains and deserts of Southern California east of I-15 Wednesday through Friday.

Moisture will increase this weekend causing shower and thunderstorm activity to increase over the mountains and deserts. Some shower and thunderstorm activity will also be possible across the coastal and valley areas this weekend as a weak disturbance moves into the region from Arizona. Cloud cover and fairly humid conditions will cause temperatures to cool over the weekend. There will be south to west afternoon and evening winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph across the wind prone mountain and desert areas through Tuesday.
