Much Cooler , but More Wild Fires ( Burbank, CA latest ) So Cal

DAILY FUELS/FIRE POTENTIAL:

Large fire potential will be elevated once again across the Kern County Mountains, the north sides of the Angeles and San Bernardino N.F. as well as Canyon Country of northern Los Angeles County. Gusty winds, above normal temperatures and single digit RH will cause rapid fire spread in any new start during the afternoon hours today. After today, large fire potential will be lower across the region due to less windy weather. However, it will turn warmer Friday and Saturday which will cause ignition components to be high during the afternoon hours. Increased outdoor activity associated with the 4th of July holiday may keep IA at moderate levels throughSaturday, but cooler and more stable conditions may result in less resource demand early next week.

  1. Leon, the fires in California are always terrifying. Wish it could be otherwise in your area. Hope you and yours stay safe from them.
