Building Heat through the Middle of Next Week…

A strong ridge of high pressure will build over Arizona through

Friday bringing significant warming to the region. The ridge

remains nearly stationary through next Wednesday, and will result

in an extended period of hot weather in the valleys, foothills, and

deserts. Afternoon humidities will fall into the teens and single

digits in these areas each day. The coast and western valley

areas should continue to be under the influence of a shallow

marine layer.
