I am a retired school teacher, and I reside in Southern California. Three of my favorite hobbies are gardening, weather observation, and amateur radio, and it was through amateur radio that I became a Weather Spotter for Skywarn. Skywarn is a program of the United States National Weather Service. Its mission is to collect reports from weather spotters of local weather conditions. These reports are used to aid forecasters in issuing weather advisories and warning and to improve the forecasting and tools that collect meteorological data.
