Moisture and thunderstorm chances will gradually spread into the area through the coming weekend. At this time thunderstorm coverage looks fairly limited through Friday with the best chance over the Sierra. These storms initially look pretty dry and there is a concern for fire starts due to dry lightning across the Sierra today. Storms should gradually become wetter as the week wears on but confidence is low.
